summary on how to use Pools match lists

The six (6) winning numbers and the supplementary number are chosen from 38 numbered matches appearing on the Pools Match List . In summary, score draws are ranked higher than any other match result, and the more goals scored, the higher the ranking. For example, a three all draw is ranked higher than a two all draw. If there are insufficient matches with score draws to determine all the winning numbers and supplementary number, then numbered matches with nil score draws are selected. All nil score draws are ranked equally (NB. see comments regarding Match Order below).

If there are insufficient numbered matches with draws to determine all the winning numbers and supplementary number, numbered matches where the away team has won are selected. Matches with a smaller goal difference are ranked the highest. For example, a two to one victory is ranked higher than a three to one victory. If there are insufficient away matches to determine all winning numbers and the supplementary number, numbered matches where the home team has won are selected, on the same basis as away team victories, i.e. matches with the smallest goal difference are ranked the highest.

Match Order: all numbered matches shall be ranked starting with match number 38, and working down to
match number one. The six (6) highest ranked numbered matches shall be the six (6) winning numbers, and
the seventh (7th) highest ranked numbered match shall be the supplementary number.
