How to play Lotto

Lotto is the much loved and popular game that has been making people’s dreams come true for over 30 years. Monday, Wednesday and Saturday Lotto is conducted by NSW Lotteries in NSW and ACT offering players the chance to make their million dollar dreams come true every week over three games. And it’s so easy to play!

What is Lotto?

Saturday Lotto is a national Lotto game, and offers an estimated $4 million Division 1 prize pool every week! There are also special ‘Saturday Superdraw’ events held throughout the year which offer massive Division 1 prizes of up to $31 million. If there is no Division 1 winner in Saturday Lotto, the Division 1 prize pool will jackpot to the next Saturday Lotto draw.

Monday & Wednesday Lotto - from 27 February 2012 (draw 3116), the new and exciting Monday & Wednesday Lotto will launch! New Monday & Wednesday Lotto will deliver more Division 1 millionaires and more than twice as many winners overall with the introduction of new Division 6.

The new Division 6 will mean that Monday & Wednesday Lotto will return more winners in every draw, and more than double the total number of winners overall when compared to the current prize wins.

The new Division 1 prize guarantees $1 million dollars for up to 2 winners every Monday and Wednesday. The new Division 1 prize will deliver more millionaires when compared with the old jackpotting Division 1 prize because NSW Lotteries will guarantee a First Division prize of $1 million dollars for each Division 1 winner (for up to 2 winners) every draw. If there are more than two Division 1 winners the $2 million prize pool will be divided equally between the winners.

How do you play Lotto?

You can play Monday, Wednesday and Saturday Lotto by choosing your own numbers or by asking
for an Autopick. If you wish to use your own numbers by filling in an entry form, you can play up to
18 games. Alternatively, you can play up to 36 games if you ask your Agent for an Autopick entry,
where the computer randomly selects the numbers for you.

Standard Entry
To play a Standard entry, you choose 6 numbers per game panel. You must play a minimum of
4 games and it is available via filling out an entry form or asking for an Autopick.

Multi-week Entry
A Multi-week entry allows you to enter Monday, Wednesday and Saturday Lotto with the same numbers for 2, 5 or 10 weeks at a time. This is a great option for players who are going away or simply don’t want to miss a draw! Simply mark the Multi-week box on your entry form or ask your agent for a Multi-week Autopick.

Systems Entry
A Systems entry gives you the option to play more numbers per game for a greater chance to win across multiple divisions.

You can choose from a System 7 (7 numbers) up to a Systems 18 (18 numbers). A Systems entry is equivalent to more Standard games e.g. a Systems 10 entry is equivalent to 210 Standard games. And as you are choosing more numbers, a Systems entry also allows you to win multiple prizes due to the larger amounts of combinations.

You can view the multiple prizes won with each winning systems entry in the System Prize Table.
