From October there will be a new advertising campaign designed to reinvigorate the Lotto brand and win over a new generation of players.

The new campaign will build on Lotto's 26-year heritage as the biggest game in the NSW Lotteries portfolio. Long associated with making people's dreams come true, Lotto has taken it one step further by encouraging players to go beyond dreaming - and to "Live a Lotto Life'.

For the new campaign, a new co-star from the Pet Porpoise Pool at Coffs Harbour, "Brian", a Lotto winning seal joins the familiar Big Red Ball.

Traffic in the North Coast town stopped when the television advertisement was being filmed last month as the seal checked a Lotto entry at a local newsagent. It then uses its Lotto windfall to trade places with its trainer and to run the local Seal Park- fulfilling its dream to 'Live a Lotto Life'.

"Players already know Lotto is a great game and it has the highest level of awareness of any of our brands, in fact, it's one of the most high profile brands in Australia," said NSW Lotteries Director of Marketing and Sales, Nick Nichles. "This campaign is about making the brand even more fresh and contemporary, and - most importantly - fun!"

Lotto has had a handful of jingles and taglines over the last two decades - all being very successful. NSW players will fondly remember the famous highlights such as "Try your luck Go Lotto", "The Big One - Your Ticket To Freedom", "The Game that Makes more Millionaires" and " Lotto Makes Dreams Come True".

The new campaign will be one of the biggest ever for Lotto and will include television, radio, press and outdoor advertising across NSW. The public will get their first glimpse of the ad on Sunday 15 October on all major television networks.

Players can also get in the mood with over 1500 agents around the State receiving fun give-away items such as lucky number selectors and bookmarks. Since the first draw on 5 November 1979, Lotto has created 757 millionaires in NSW alone.
