Morrison’s Newsagency in Queanbeyan has sold the winning ticket that picked up $2 million in last night’s Wednesday Lotto draw.
The lucky winner is a NSW Lotteries Players Club member, but NSW Lotteries officials have been unable to make contact by phone this morning. The winner will be sent a claim form by mail.
“It’s the biggest prize we’ve sold in the twenty odd years that the shop has been open, it is the first time we’ve cracked the million dollar mark so we are delighted,” Mark Cantwell from Morrison’s Newsagency said this morning.
“We have got a lot of regular customers who have been coming in to see us for many years; there will certainly be a bit of talk about this win, it is sure to create a bit of a buzz in town.
“If I could give the winner a message, I guess all I could say to them would be to have fun and enjoy it,” added Mr Cantwell.
The winning numbers from Wednesday night’s $2 million Lotto draw were 25, 36, 29, 39, 6, and 5, with the supplementary numbers 14 and 15.
By using a Players Club Card to protect their entries, players can ensure they will be alerted to major prize wins, and automatically paid any unclaimed smaller prizes.
