Halloween brings lots of treats for NSW and ACT Lotto Players, five players win $2 million each in Saturday Lotto’s $20 million Halloween Superdraw
Ten million dollars worth of Halloween treats came to NSW and ACT Lotto players last night.
Saturday Lotto’s massive $20 million First Division prize pool was shared by ten winners nationally, each winning $2 million. Five of the winning entries were purchased in NSW and the ACT.
The winning entries were sold in the Sydney suburbs of Fairfield West, Birchgrove, Chatswood, and Woden in the ACT, along with an internet entry.
As the winners are not members of Players Club, NSW Lotteries officials have no way of contacting them to break the good news.
“It is unusual that our winners are not members of the NSW Lotteries Players Club, so all we can do is encourage everyone to check their Saturday Lotto Superdraw entries very carefully,” NSW Lotteries Director of Marketing and Sales, Mark Carter said this morning.
“That’s why we encourage players to become Players Club members, as it gives piece of mind that their prizes are protected and also that a NSW Lotteries official can contact them immediately with news of a major win,” Mr Carter added.
Fairfield West
Fairfield’s winning entry was purchased from Fairvale Newsagency at Shop 3, 338 Hamilton Road, Fairfield West.
“We are just so happy to have sold one of the winning tickets in last night’s Superdraw,” Charlie Neuyen from Fairvale Newsagency said this morning.
“It’s a pity the ticket isn’t registered with Players Club, but we will find our winner. We are going to tell everyone that comes into the shop to bring their tickets in for checking and we’ll make up some signs to say that we’re looking for a mystery $2 million winner,” Mr Neuyen added.
Birchgrove
Say Wa Keung, proprietor of Brichgrove Newsagency at 133 Rowntree Street, Birchgrove is celebrating selling a $2 million win in last night’s Saturday Lotto Superdraw, it is the biggest prize she has ever sold.
“Firstly, I can’t believe that the owner of the ticket is not a Players Club member, I really hope that they come forward to claim their prize very soon,” Ms Keung said this morning.
“We are always busy checking tickets the day after a Superdraw, but once word gets out that we have sold one of the winners, we will be run off our feet. So you never know we may even find our millionaire today, well I hope we do anyway,” Ms Keung added.
Chatswood
Chatswood’s $2 million winning entry was sold from Chatswood Railway Bookstall at Chatswood Central, Chatswood.
“We’ll be keeping our eyes peeled for our mystery millionaire to come in with the winning ticket. Until they do we will be encouraging everyone to bring their tickets in for checking, who knows who the lucky winner could be, we just hope we find them soon,” Richard Chan owner of Chatswood Railway Bookstall said this morning.
Woden, ACT
The Thistle Kiosk at Shop 49A Woden Plaza, Woden is no stranger to selling big prizes and now they have another win to add to their list.
“Usually the winner comes in the day after the draw when they know they’ve won, so it will be interesting to see what happens today,” Mr Barker added.
Internet entry
The fifth $2 million winning Saturday Lotto entry was sold over the internet through nsw.ozlotteries.com, the exclusive online agent for NSW Lotteries. The winner will be contacted directly with the good news.
Ten winners shared Saturday Lotto’s $20 million prize pool, each winning $2 million. In addition to the five winning NSW and ACT entries, three winning tickets were sold by the Victorian-based lottery operator Tattersall’s, and two by Golden Casket in Queensland.
The winning numbers in Saturday’s $20 million Superdraw were 30, 6, 44, 24, 37 and 29 with the supplementary numbers 9 and 35.
