Kurri Kurri Newsagency gives lucky Lotto winner two million reasons to celebrate
A single winning entry purchased from Kurri Kurri Newsagency in the Hunter region of NSW took out the entire $2 million first division Monday Lotto prize in last night’s draw.
Although the owner of the winning ticket is a member of Players Club, NSW Lotteries officials have been unable to contact them by telephone. A letter informing them of their millionaire status will be mailed.
The winning ticket was purchased from Kurri Kurri Newsagency at 132 Lang Street, Kurri Kurri.
“We are more than delighted, just thrilled that we have made someone a multi-millionaire and given them a reason to really celebrate this Christmas,” Ruth Martin from Kurri Kurri Newsagency said this morning.
Kurri Kurri’s latest Lotto win has secured a place for the town on the Top 20 Luckiest Lotto NSW Regional Towns for 2009. The list can be viewed at http://lottoluckmap.nswlotteries.com.au/
The winning numbers from Monday night’s $2 million Lotto draw were 5, 3, 26, 14, 33 and 23 with the supplementary numbers 15 and 1.
