Maitland local wins $500,000 in Monday night’s Lotto draw
A retired Maitland man is half a million dollars richer after winning $500,000 in last night’s Lotto draw (Monday 28 December).
“I’m over the moon,” the delighted winner told the NSW Lotteries official who broke the good news this morning.
“I’m not sure what exactly what I’ll do with the money but I’ll definitely give some to my kids,” the father of two said.
Sherri Vaughn, from Greenhills Newsagency Shop at 39 Stockland Shopping Centre East Maitland, said that it was a good time of year to win Lotto.
“We’ve sold plenty of big prizes; this year has been really lucky. Hopefully we’ll have even bigger prizes next year.
The winning numbers from the $1 million Lotto draw on Monday 28 December were 33, 2, 41, 11, 40, and 31 with the supplementary numbers 25 and 26.
