NSW Lotteries confirms Greystanes as luckiest Lotto suburb for 2009

NSW Lotteries has confirmed that the Western Sydney suburb of Greystanes is officially the 2009 NSW luckiest Lotto suburb. More than $9.4 million of division one Monday, Wednesday and Saturday Lotto prizes was won in the area from 1 January to 31 December 2009.

Greystanes’ amazing result includes the Monday Lotto $8.5 million jackpot prize won on 3 November. This prize, sold from Greystanes Newsagency, represents the biggest win ever by a NSW player in Monday, Wednesday or Saturday Lotto.

Nelson Bay has been named the NSW luckiest Lotto regional town with $6 million in division one Monday, Wednesday and Saturday Lotto prizes won in the area in 2009.

NSW Lotteries officials are able to confirm the full list of luckiest Lotto metropolitan and regional postcodes in NSW for 2009 following the last Lotto draw of the year, which took place last night. There were no division one winners in last night’s Wednesday Lotto $1 million draw, which means it jackpots to $2 million for Monday Lotto’s draw.

Residents of NSW can find out how lucky their suburb is by logging onto the 2009 Lotto Luck Map at http://lottoluckmap.nswlotteries.com.au and typing in a postcode or suburb.

Anyone wanting to put their suburb or town on the map can kick off the year with an entry in Lotto’s $30 million Superdraw on Saturday 2 January 2010.

With only 48 hours left to Lotto’s biggest annual event, the Saturday Lotto $30 million Superdraw on 2 January 2010, Lotto hopefuls are advised to ensure they purchase their tickets early. Selling finishes for the big draw at 8.30pm this Saturday.
