Cabramatta syndicate scoops share in Saturday Lotto $4 million prize
Saturday Lotto’s $4 million division one prize was shared among seven winning entries nationally, including one winning entry in NSW.
Each winning ticket scored its owner $571,428.58. The NSW win belongs to a 15 share syndicate, sold in the Sydney Suburb of Cabramatta, each syndicate member scored a $38,095.25 share of the loot.
Mitchum Newsagency at 64B John Street, Cabramatta sold nine of the winning syndicate shares and Mitchum News at Shop 12, Cabramatta Arcade, 105-107 John Street, Cabramatta sold six of the winning syndicate shares.
Anne Huang, proprietor of Mitchum Newsagency and Mitchum News said that there are lots of happy customers coming in to check their tickets today.
“We are really excited, this is the third division one prize we have sold in 20 months.
“When we have sold big prizes in the past, some people have said that lightening doesn’t strike in the same place twice, so they didn’t expect us to sell any more big wins. I think we have blown that theory right out of the water and I’m sure we will have many more lightening strikes,” Ms Huang laughed.
“A few of the winning syndicate members have already been given the good news when they presented their winning entries for checking yesterday and today. There are still a few who haven’t checked yet, so we expect to be busy delivering good news over the next few days,” Ms Huang added.
Network syndicates allow players to share the cost of a large systems entry without having to form their own syndicate. Entries are sold separately.
Along with the NSW syndicate entry, three winning entries were sold in Queensland, two by the Victorian based lottery operator Tattersall’s and one winning entry was sold in South Australia.
The winning numbers from Saturday night’s $4 million Lotto draw were 45, 8, 6, 36, 18 and 20, with the supplementary numbers 39 and 29.
