Mystery Marrickville Lotto player scores $2 million prize in Monday Lotto
Monday Lotto’s $2 million division one prize was won by a single winning entry purchased in Sydney’s inner western suburb of Marrickville.
As the winner is not a member of the NSW Lotteries Players Club, NSW Lotteries officials have no way of contacting the lucky person to inform them of the good news. They may be completely unaware that they are now a multi-millionaire thanks to Lotto.
“At this stage the winning ticket has not been presented for verification, so all we can do is advise Lotto players in the Marrickville area to check their tickets very carefully as there will be a nice surprise is in store for the holder of the winning ticket,” NSW Lotteries Communications Manager, John Vineburg said.
“When the winner does come forward there will be a $2 million tax-free prize waiting for them,” Mr Vineburg added.
The winning entry was purchased from Cranes Newsagency at 290 Marrickville Road, Marrickville.
The winning numbers from Monday night’s $2 million Lotto draw were 40, 1, 21, 45, 7 and 39, with the supplementary numbers 33 and 6.
